There once was a young girl...
There once was a young girl who loved to turn play into learning. She especially enjoyed working with young children who explore their world with curiosity, wonder, and delight.
That young girl spent her early college years learning to be a teacher.
But, once in the classroom, teaching was a disappointment. There was little room for unique needs and interests of children, or for non-traditional instructional techniques that keep the magic of discovery alive.
So the teacher went back to college to become a media specialist. She worked as a consultant to teachers, helping them adapt traditional classroom methods into child-centered learning. Together they designed instruction for better communication.
But, that skill wasn’t enough. So the media specialist went back to college a second time for advanced study to become an instructional designer, exploring ways to communicate more effectively.
She has applied that knowledge to everything she’s done since.
Yes, you guessed right...I’m that person.
Except, now I edit/design PowerPoint and Keynote presentations for individuals and organizations that seek to take their program to the next level.
I pride myself on collaborative working relationships that transform your message for greater clarity, insure design continuity, and enhance visual appeal. Now, instead of turning play into learning, I turn learning into play.
Because I’m still that young girl who loves the magic of discovery.
